Conditions

Migraines

Botox is approved and scientifically tested to help eliminate or reduce migraines’ duration, severity, and frequency. Over the years, we have successfully treated many migraine sufferers in reducing their symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to noise, light, and smells.

Many drug plans cover this as a second line treatment.

What to Expect?

After a consult, we use a thin needle with minimal pain to inject small amounts of product on areas to your face and scalp. It takes 1-2 weeks to experience relief after your treatment. On average, our clients come back every three months for repeat treatment.

There is no downtime.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

Botox® has an excellent safety profile, and our team has extensive experience delivering this treatment. The body naturally produces sweat to regulate body temperature, however, sometimes this happens in excess and can harm a person’s quality of life and confidence. Botox® blocks the signal between nerves and sweat glands. Any area with excessive sweating can be treated.  The most common areas treated are the underarms, palms, soles, groin, forehead, and scalp.

What to Expect?

Mild discomfort is usually felt with tiny needle injections in the areas of concern, and if needed, an anesthetic cream can be used to numb the skin.

The total effect takes 7-14 days, although the impact of sweat reduction can be as little as a few days. The effect lasts for 6-12 months, and repeat treatment is suggested once the sweating recurs.

Most drug plans cover botox for hyperhidrosis.

Teeth clenching/Bruxism/TMJ pain

Bruxism or teeth grinding can lead to symptoms of morning migraines, headaches, and jaw and TMJ(temporomandibular joint) pain due to clenching of the jaw. Dental problems from bruxism include loss of tooth enamel, increased tooth sensitivity, and flattening and chipping of teeth.

What to Expect?

After an assessment to confirm the diagnosis, the goal would be to weaken the masseter muscles of the jaw with small injections of Botox®. Clients usually feel relief by the end of the first week and treatments typically last 5 to 6 months. There is no downtime and minimal discomfort.
